a) 2025 Medical & Vision Insurance
b) Election for relief from charges & notice of Solvency Fee under the Unemployment Compensation Law. The fee for this is $936.22
c) Attorney Gary Taroli and Gokhan Cicek discuss 185 South Street
d) December Meeting will be moved from December 26th to December 19th immediately following the Work Session. Notices will be sent to the newspaper.
e) Purchase new computer for borough secretary/treasurer
f) Purchase and transition to Quickbooks for bookkeeping
g) Payroll Addon for Quickbooks or outsource payroll
h) Update on the advertisements for the Ordinances

6) Finance
a) Resolution of the Borough of Freeland, authorizing and ratifying the incurrence of lease obligations in a principal amount not to exceed $116,050.00, to be evidenced by a governmental finance lease agreement with Mauch Chunk Trust Company to which the lessee will pay rental payments in connection with financing the project described below; accepting the lessor’s proposal and authorizing the execution and delivery of the governmental finance lease agreement; covenanting to pay amounts pursuant to such lease and the lessor’s proposal from current revenues, subject to annual appropriation; authorizing and directing the taking of necessary or appropriate actions, including execution and delivery of requisite documents in connection with such lease; and taking related actions.
b) 2025 Budget Discussion
7) Public Safety
a) Speed Timing device Calibrations for 2 TDx Units and 2 Stopwatches total of $576.00 for the year
b) Kevin Palko has submitted a letter of interest for a seat on the Civil Service Commission
c) Handicap parking request on Ridge Street
d) Handicap parking request on Johnson Street
e) Phlebotomy approval and Policy Review/ Approval
f) Request reconvening the Civil Service Commission and advertise for full-time testing to establish an eligibility list which would be in place for 1-year.
g) Yukon being prepped for placement on Municibid.
8) Public Works
a) Kodiak is on Municibid and will be ready to vote on next week.
b) Repair roof at Public Park
c) Skid steer attachments
d) Discussion regarding next phase of Storm Water Improvement Project – Pennvest
e) New dump truck being ceramic coated including plow
f) Decals will be installed by John Kanuck
9) Code Enforcement and Zoning
10) Recreation
a) Bethel Baptist requests a temporary zoning permit on December 14th from 4:00pm to 9:00pm to have livestock for their event and to close Ridge Street from Walnut Street to Front Street from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The rain date is December 15th.
b) Chamber of Commerce has requested approval to host the annual Memorial Day Celebration at the Public Park beginning Friday, May 23rd and continuing through Sunday, May 25th. On Friday, May 24th the Chamber will begin the festivities in conjunction with the Rec Board from 4:00pm-10:00pm. On Saturday, May 24th from 7:00am-7:00pm they are requesting approval to close Front Street from Birkbeck Street to Pine Street for the Car Show. The event will wrap up with the Pub Run on Sunday, May 25th beginning at 3:00pm. They will be submitting their paperwork to PennDOT and will provide a copy of their event insurance to the Borough.
c) Baer & Evans Survey of the Fourth Ward Park.
